Allen Haggard

It was between the two of us, who would be chosen for most valuable lineman. All I wanted was respect. I did not care for glory. All I wanted was to be left alone. I was tired o being pushed around by bullies. I cared nothing for football. It was just a way of fighting back. It was just a way of hurting people before they could hurt me. On the field they gave you trophys, out there you were a villon for defending yourself. I won the trophy. The team voated me most valauble. Alex shook my hand. I don't know why he wanted that trophy. For me, it was a hollow victory, one I never sought. Alex was a good man. That trouphy should have been his. I guess I just hurt more people than he did, and that ain't right.

Susan Davis
Obituary:
Mary "Susan" Davis was an accomplished actor in Community Theater and a popular, highly respected drama teacher at Red Bank Jr. High and High Schools.
She advised the Drama Club, directing all of the student productions, and the school's chorus, as well as Students Staying Straight (SSS) and the Student Council. She was also in charge of choreography at Chattanooga State Community College's musical performances. At the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and the Singing Mocs. Some of her many roles included the title role in Auntie Mame, Anna in The King and I, and Corie in Barefoot in the Park. Her range was incredible; she could go from comedy to drama to tragedy and back again. She was particularly gifted at Improvisation, but her greatest gift was how she led and inspired so many students in her too-short life. She died in a fire at the Mountain Creek Apartments. She was 33.
